Job Role:

Embark is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Plant Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on Diesel Engines and have a strong understanding of mechanical plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our construction equipment, including screens, crushers, loading shovels, excavators, etc.
  • Breakdown Response: Respond to breakdowns on client sites and perform repairs as needed
  • Service and Inspection: Service and inspect plant equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Accessory Fitting: Fit accessories as required to ensure optimal performance
  • Administration: Complete administration tasks, including service and repair records, accurately and efficiently
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to HSE and company standards

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, such as Service Engineer, Mobile Service Engineer, Plant Fitter, or Mobile Plant Fitter
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the plant hire and construction equipment industry
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • IT Literacy: Basic IT literacy and ability to use company systems
  • Tool Kit: Own tool kit and ability to maintain it
  • Clean Driving License: Clean current driving license
