Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Imerys in St Austell, Cornwall. As a key member of our purchasing organization, you will be responsible for implementing the Purchasing plans within the framework of the BLI development project.
You will work closely with Project Managers and Stream Leaders in purchasing activities (Capex & Opex) for our project, being involved in commercial bid tabulations, contract negotiations, and contract finalization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the proper implementation of the Sourcing Request tool.
- Implementing routines with the project team to anticipate future actions.
- Coordinating with other purchasing categories as appropriate.
- Managing sourcing in collaboration with technical teams and relevant categories.
- Participating in the qualification of suppliers.
- Launching tenders under your responsibility.
- Ssupporting the Sustainability program of Imerys (Ecovadis registration and CO2 impact).
- Negotiating contracts.
- Attending project meetings.
- Collaborating with the legal department for contract preparation and claims.

- Supporting team to deploy Group IT solutions as SAP, IVALUA.
