Mammal Species Keeper

Join our team at Chester Zoo as a Mammal Species Keeper and contribute to maintaining high standards of animal husbandry and welfare on the Twilight section.
Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of animal care, including animal husbandry and welfare.
- Supervise students and interns, providing guidance and support.
- Deliver memorable and informative experiences for visitors.
- Work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Excellent animal husbandry knowledge and exhibitory standards.
- Experience working with small mammal species, ideally in a similar zoo environment.
- Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
- Good understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license is essential.
- Competitive salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
