Role Overview

This is a key position at Chester Zoo, responsible for maintaining high standards of animal husbandry and welfare on the Twilight section.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated team player to lead by example in maintaining high standards of animal care. The successful candidate will supervise students and interns, deliver memorable experiences, and work independently as part of a dynamic team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent animal husbandry knowledge and exhibitory standards.
  • Open-minded to developing and implementing new ideas, with experience working with small mammal species ideally in a similar zoo environment.
  • Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
  • Good understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.
