About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Control Surveyor to join our team. As a Building Control Surveyor, you will be responsible for assessing plans for compliance with building regulations, undertaking site visits to inspect building works, and providing advice to construction professionals, building owners, and members of the public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess plans for compliance with building regulations
  • Undertake site visits to inspect building works
  • Provide advice to construction professionals, building owners, and members of the public
  • Act as lead officer on complex projects and represent the company as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Inspect reported dangerous structures and ensure appropriate action is undertaken
  • Conduct investigations into unauthorized building work and take enforcement action
Requirements:
  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Building Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in building control inspection, general building surveying, design, project management, or other similar specialist services
  • Knowledge of current building control legislation, associated guidance, and issues relevant to the post
  • Ability to administer all forms and levels of building regulation applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating building control software systems
