Job Description:

Chase and Holland Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Ledger Controller to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and collecting debts, as well as experience in credit control and sales ledger management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Debt Management: Take a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors, ensuring timely payments and minimizing bad debt.
  • Credit Control: Be the point of contact for all credit control issues for your ledger, handling disputed accounts and negotiating payment plans on overdue accounts.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile customer balances, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Payment Processing: Process customer payments to the ledger and customer records, maintaining up-to-date financial information.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the relevant financials, including daily sales actuals against targets, weekly and monthly debtor reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Review and develop improved controls, processes, and procedures for sales ledger and credit control, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • IT Literacy: Proficient in Excel and ERP systems, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Attention to Detail: Outstanding attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile complex accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Credit Controller or Senior Sales Ledger, with a strong understanding of sales ledger management and credit control principles.
