Job Title: Educational Support Worker

Five Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs and challenging behaviors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters the success of students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support to identified pupils in class and around the school
  • Working under the guidance of the class teacher to enable students to access the curriculum and tailor tasks to their ability levels
  • Guiding pupils when they are struggling and helping them to become regulated and calm
  • Assisting the class teacher with pupil and classroom management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEMH/complex needs
  • A valid right to work in the UK (valid visa)
  • Relevant references and DBS/police checks (if necessary)
  • Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), 8:30-15:30
