Marine Ecologist Expertise Development Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Ecologist to join our team in the UK, working on high-profile marine projects and contributing to the growth of our team. This role requires technical marine ecological expertise, with experience in preparing and reviewing specialist technical chapters and associated impact assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical marine ecological advice internally and externally, managing inputs to workstreams and deliverables across various projects.
- Ensure quality and compliance with rigorous quality management procedures, applying critical eye for detail and excellent writing and communication skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve environmental outcomes, including specialists in underwater acoustics, coastal processes, water scientists, and marine archaeologists.
- Make effective use of project management skills, managing resources and budgets, and support procurement and management of specialist subcontractors when needed.
- Contribute to work-winning efforts, developing technical and fee proposals, marketing, and business development, including internal and external presentations and client liaison.
- A recognised degree in a relevant discipline, such as marine biology/ecology or a related biological science discipline, and appropriate professional membership (CIEEM or similar).
- Comprehensive marine ecological expertise, with demonstrable experience in preparing and reviewing specialist technical chapters and all associated impact assessments.
- A detailed understanding of the marine consenting and licensing regimes across the UK, with experience liaising with regulatory bodies.

Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
