The role of an Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprentice is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in accountancy. Boxwell Chartered Accountants, established by Duncan Boxwell in 1976, is a boutique firm catering for all business, compliance, and tax needs. As a trainee accountant, you will be part of a team assisting clients with their accounting requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Preparing tax computations
  • Providing bookkeeping services
  • Providing occasional cover on payroll support

You will work alongside senior staff and directors to deliver a range of accountancy services to our clients. With full support from the training provider, Accountancy Learning, as part of their Flexible Apprenticeship Programme, you will undertake the 'Accounts / Finance Assistant' Apprenticeship (an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Accounting). The duration of the apprenticeship is estimated to be 15 months.

Training and Development:

You will receive support from both the employer and the training provider to complete and achieve your Apprenticeship. You will be given time to study during the week on a day release basis, and it is also expected that you will continue your studies outside of normal office hours. Successful completion of the AAT (Level 2) Foundation Certificate in Accounting is a mandatory element of the Accounts / Finance Assistant Apprenticeship.

Salary and Benefits:
