Senior Care Assistant Job Opportunity

An exciting new role has become available for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our exceptional care home in Chester-le-Street, Durham. As a key member of our team, you will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

This purpose-built care home offers the highest standard of residential and dementia care to its residents, and we are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to lead and inspire our care team.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and be willing to work towards Level 3.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of care assistants to provide exceptional care to our residents, enabling them to live their later life well.
  • Support residents with personal care needs and facilitate their participation in a wide range of activities that promote their health and wellbeing.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Passion for caring for older people.
  • Previous care experience.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team to deliver high-quality care.
  • A kind, warm, and caring nature, with the ability to work well as part of a team and use your own initiative.
  • Patience, communication, and listening skills are equally important.
  • Maintaining accurate records, time management, and prioritizing tasks will also be strengths.
  • Ability to lead by example, form positive relationships, and energize colleagues to deliver exceptional care.
