Financial Reporting Advisory Manager

As a key member of our growing financial reporting advisory national team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to our clients in the London and Southern region. Your primary focus will be on supporting managers to profitably deliver work across a portfolio of corporate clients, focusing on technical accounting, financial reporting, and consolidations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements, including IFRS and FRS 101. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and projects, including client care responsibilities, project management, and WIP/billing management. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop further skill sets, including business development and coaching of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting managers to deliver complex accountancy-related projects for clients, including IFRS transition consultancy work and support on acquisition accounting and complex consolidations.
- Management of a portfolio of clients and projects, including client care responsibilities, project management, and WIP/billing management.
- Liaising with other departments within the office, especially the audit and tax teams.
- Acting as a coach to more junior members of the team and participating in staff training and supervision as required.
- A willingness to travel to client premises is required, however, the significant proportion of work is likely to be office-based.
Personal and Professional Qualities:
The role requires:
UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting experience.A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and to add value.Strong project management and organisational skills.Experience of supervision of junior staff.Experience of Microsoft Office, with high competency with both Excel and Word.Diversity and Inclusion at RSM:
