About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to play a key strategic role at Queen Mary University of London and join our cross-institutional collaborative group working on the TRANSFORM trial of prostate cancer screening. This national trial jointly funded by Prostate Cancer Research UK and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) will provide evidence for the UK National Screening Committee, policy makers, and the international cancer research community.

This is an excellent opportunity for an interested and motivated Data Scientist to further develop their career in cancer screening, prevention, and early diagnosis research aimed at improving and saving lives.

The successful candidate will have a relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degree, excellent interpersonal skills with substantial experience of complex data management and methodological aspects of data ascertainment including handling data from electronic health systems.

Strong programming and analytical skills are required to help identify eligible research participants, inform and adapt ongoing trial processes, and ascertain key health outcomes over time.

A track-record of contributing to high-quality health research is essential.
