Maintenance Fleet Controller Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fleet Controller to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering day-to-day activities and providing strategic support to our customers. Your focus will be on vehicle cost authorisations and downtime, ensuring the most cost-effective solution for our clients and meeting all KPIs/SLAs and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance, refurbishment, and accident repairs.
  2. Challenge all costs for vehicle repairs using technical rulesets.
  3. Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to resolve challenges for clients and drivers within agreed SLAs.
  4. Build relationships with third-party suppliers to secure the most cost-effective route for repairs.
  5. Update systems to create a maintenance history and work orders.
  6. Provide vehicle off-road reports and ensure all vehicles are back on the road in a timely manner with minimal additional cost.
  7. Expedite the chasing of VOR parts with dealers and manufacturers.
  8. Liaise with manufacturers' customer service teams for warranty and parts backorders.
About You:

We are looking for a motivated individual with a willingness to learn and take initiative. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience in a manufacturer's franchised dealership in workshop and service desk environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance, including EVs.
  • Background in cost approval and audit functions.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships at multiple levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, problem-solve, and prioritise.
  • High level of competence in Excel.
  • Drive to work to deadlines and deliver results.
  • Strong telephone-based communication skills.
