Maintenance Fleet Manager

The Opportunity:
A leading UK-based EV and fleet management provider is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fleet Controller to drive business growth and deliver exceptional customer service. With a strong focus on cost-effective solutions and strategic partnerships, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly expanding industry.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of day-to-day activities and strategic understanding of customer needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated support for maintenance, refurbishment, and accident repairs.
- Challenging costs for vehicle repairs using technical rulesets.
- Developing strong relationships with stakeholders to resolve challenges for clients and drivers within agreed SLAs.
- Building strong relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure cost-effective routes for repairs.
- Updating systems to create maintenance histories and work orders.
- Providing vehicle off-road reports and ensuring vehicles are back on the road in a timely manner with minimal additional cost.
- Expediting the chasing of VOR parts with dealers and manufacturers.
- Liaising with manufacturers' customer service teams for warranty and parts backorders.
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual with a willingness to learn and take initiative. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in a manufacturer's franchised dealership in workshop and service desk environments.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance, including EVs.
- Experience in cost approval and audit functions.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to plan, problem-solve, and prioritize.
- High-level competence in Excel.
- Highly driven with the ability to work to deadlines and deliver results.
- Strong telephone-based communication skills.
