About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Strategic Communications Lead - Community Engagement. As part of this role, you will lead central strategic coordination of all communications activity to the public at St John Ambulance's West region.

Your primary responsibility will be to build and communicate a strategic vision for St John Ambulance's brand that inspires public engagement and contributes to our charitable mission. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment behind that shared vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver long-term communications strategies that drive impact and organisational alignment between mission, brand, and values.
  • Lead a talented team of brand, media, and social media specialists to develop and deliver strategies that raise awareness and bring our mission and impact to life.
  • Provide oversight and lead where appropriate across the relationship with external agencies, partners, and freelancers to ensure a coherent and integrated communications approach.
