About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Consultant Psychologist Specialist. This is a newly developed role, and the post holder will take on the position of Clinical and Professional lead for the Tier 4 CAMHS Psychology Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team of Clinical Psychologists
  • Develop and implement service improvements and developments in specialist and generic areas
  • Manage referrals and waiting lists, and contribute to the strategic development of services
  • Organise and chair meetings, and represent the profession in local policy forums
  • Work closely with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, as accredited by the BPS
  • Member of HCPC
  • Extensive experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist, including specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention
  • Experience of managing qualified and prequalified clinical psychologists and other professionals
  • Experience of policy and service development, and of initiating and implementing service improvements and developments
