Operational Resilience Leader for Financial Services

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Enterprise Resiliency Office, driving operational resilience efforts across the DTCC enterprise.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading regional teams, ensuring alignment between technical and business partners, and coordinating incident root cause analysis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Operational Resilience Efforts:
  • Drive operational resilience efforts across the enterprise, including but not limited to:
    • Documenting critical services and working with collaborators to maintain disruption tolerances and identify potential disruption scenarios.
    • Handling disruption planning and recovery objectives.
    • Partnering with Business Continuity colleagues to drive scenario testing, and mock major incident scenarios, to prepare cross-functional teams and ensure service resiliency.
  • Building and Leading Regional Teams:
    • Ensuring alignment between technical and business partners.
    • Figuring out incident severity and business and/or executive critical issue.
    • Driving internal and external communication, ensuring that messages are targeted, consistent, thoughtful and prompt for all major incidents.
    • Coordinating incident root cause analysis and generating post-mortem / lessons learned outputs.
  • Maintaining Relationships:
    • Maintain relationships with cross-functional business leaders within and across regions to reinforce resiliency and to ensure the ERO understands the resiliency concerns of each business.
    • Act as a decision maker on time-sensitive external communications to clients, board, and industry associations on high severity incidents in region.
    • Oversee firm-wide enterprise resiliency projects and drive continuous improvement of the ERO's people, processes and tooling.
    • Lead and develop ERO team members across region(s), fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment to cultivate an inspiring culture.
    • Support management of key incident data to support executive level reporting and to provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
    • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator who is comfortable navigating legal, technical, and business concepts.
  • Competent and confident during a crisis and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience defining and leading operational resilience within a complex organization, within the financial services industry.
  • Experience running a diverse range and seniority of team members through critical business issues and/or active incidents or crises.
  • Knowledge of derivatives and securities market practices, treasury markets, clearing mandates for financial services participants.
