Sommelier Opportunity at Smyth & Co

We are seeking a skilled Sommelier to join our team at Smyth & Co, an exclusive private member's club in London. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for managing aspects of our wine program, including curating the wine list, cellar management, and wine service.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Sommelier in managing wine program aspects
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to members
  • Participate in wine training sessions for staff
  • Support development of wine pairing menus and special events
  • Assist with wine inventory and procurement
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the club

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Sommelier in a high-end establishment
  • Level 2 WSET certification or equivalent qualifications required; Level 3 or higher preferred
  • Solid knowledge of wines from around the world, with an interest in luxury and fine wines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Passion for hospitality and commitment to providing unparalleled service experiences
