Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and flexible Facilities Operative to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Facilities Management Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital facilities.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including:

  • Distributing and assisting with deliveries of linen
  • Portering and helping with patient flow and movement of equipment around the hospital
  • Domestic duties, including cleaning wards and departments, and serving tea, coffee, and food to patients
  • Environmental services, including removing and segregating waste
  • Catering, working in the kitchen alongside our Catering team
