Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and flexible Facilities Operative to join our team in Scarborough. As a key member of our Facilities Management Team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hospital facilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Distributing and assisting with deliveries of linen
  • Portering - helping with patient flow and movement of equipment around the hospital
  • Domestic Duties - cleaning wards/departments and serving tea/coffee/food to patients
  • Environment - removing and segregating waste
  • Catering – working in the kitchen alongside the Catering team

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Good basic education which includes reading and writing plus basic numeric skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Able to use small and large pieces of equipment such as Regeneration oven/dishwashers/Floor machinery
  • Experience of working in cleaning industry
  • BICSc Qualification/NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning/Catering or equivalent
