Project Manager Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and mentor our pre-construction and site teams, ensuring our projects run smoothly from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and mentor the pre-construction and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Review contractual agreements and collaborate with the Client, Contracts Manager, and Specialist/Suppliers to develop working methods, programme, and forecast costs, identifying any inaccuracies or inconsistencies.
- Develop programmes and forecast budgets, assessing actual programme and productivity achieved, and reviewing weekly. Taking action where appropriate and reporting any changes to the Contracts Manager and Commercial department.
- Be fully conversant with specialists' contract conditions and positively manage the programme to ensure that appropriate specialists provide the necessary resources and skills.
- Communicate with the site team and the commercial team regarding issues of non-conformances and contractual correspondence, ensuring comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained.
- Ensure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments, and method statements for the control of the works are reviewed, approved, and adhered to.
- Supervise site teams and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project progress and compliance.
Requirements:
- A degree-level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering with vocational training in Engineering.
- A solid understanding of Engineering Principles.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
- Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
- A relevant CSCS Card.
- Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
