About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our award-winning construction company in Southampton. Due to sustained growth and a strong order book, we are looking to add to our commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the commercial delivery of Care Homes, Student Accommodation, or Hotels projects.
  • Produce draft budgets and site start budgets for allocated sites.
  • Carry out quarterly valuations and material 'cost to complete' exercises.
  • Prepare sub-contract payments and final accounts.
  • Assess payments to contractors based on on-site measurements.
  • Attend meetings with senior management, construction teams, and external contractors.
  • Maintain trade specifications and manage sub-contract orders on site.
Requirements:
  • HNC or higher qualification in Construction/Building related field.
  • Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in new build construction, preferably in Care Home, Student Accommodation, or Hotel projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to produce accurate commercial reports.
  • Proficiency in using IT packages, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good time management and decision-making skills.
  • Able to read and understand Working Drawings.
Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
