Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long Term Futures Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the needs of students with Special Educational Needs in Primary schools, as well as experience working alongside Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and active SEN Teaching Assistant to support in a vibrant Infants school. The role involves working mornings only in FS2, supporting students with their learning and development.

About the Role:

  • Type: Full-time, long-term contract
  • Salary: £90 - £115 per annum
  • Location: DE55 area

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational and emotional support to students with Special Educational Needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a tailored learning environment. This will include:

  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Supporting students with their daily routines and activities
  • Helping students with specific learning difficulties, such as reading and writing

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • Experience of working with EHCPs and developing individualised learning plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
