Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

KBR is a global leader in providing comprehensive solutions to government and industry clients. We're seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to support a large infrastructure project in the West of Scotland.

This role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, supporting nuclear facilities and delivering services across client sites. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from planning and design to sustainability and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems, including marine diesel engines and rotating equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and safe project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design modifications and justification.
  • Apply theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, and operate engineering processes, systems, and services in a nuclear or high-risk environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on marine diesel engines, rotating equipment, and mechanical handling systems.
  • Strong understanding of high-hazard industries and the ability to work in a nuclear or high-risk environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance.
