Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and specifying all Mechanical Building Services systems, including heating, cooling, hot and cold-water systems, ventilation, and controls.
The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to work on a long-term framework with a leading building design consultancy. You will have the chance to work on high-profile projects, develop your skills, and contribute to a collaborative team of nuclear specialists.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specify Mechanical Building Services systems, including heating, cooling, hot and cold-water systems, ventilation, and controls.
- Collaborate with our BIM team to prepare models and drawings using Autodesk Revit and other industry-standard software tools.
- Carry out detailed calculations using Excel, IES, Hevacomp, and other in-house developed tools.
- Ensure an understanding of project briefs and work closely with clients to deliver high-quality projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject.
- Experience in the design and specification of Mechanical Building Services systems.
- Knowledge of Low Pressure/High Pressure Air, Demin Water, Nitrogen, Local Exhaust Ventilation, and Diesel Fuel Supply.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
