About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Community Mental Health Worker to join our team at Solent NHS Trust. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering intensive home treatment programs to young people who require alternative care to inpatient admission.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Community Mental Health Worker, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with community CAMHS, children's services, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to young people and their families. You will also contribute to the growth and maintenance of key functions of the clinical area/team by carrying out assigned tasks, involving direct and indirect care to patients under minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Education to diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Care and equivalent skills acquired through experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Maths/English Level 2 or equivalent (GCSE C/4 or above)
  • Care Certificate (or complete this within the first 12 weeks in post)
  • Experience of working with people with mental health needs in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Experience working in the community with Mental Health
  • Experience of analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing
