Academic Mentor

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Academic Lead to join our team at Haberdashers' Abraham Darby. The successful candidate will support the Head of Pathways in mentoring and supporting pupils in the THRIVE provision, promoting whole school ethos and practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor progress data and identify areas for improvement.
- Collate missed learning activities and support pupils to catch up.
- Run homework and academic intervention clinics as required.
- Liaise with Academic mentors and delegate intervention tasks.
- Analyse data and identify pupils in need of further academic support.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and mentors to improve pupil achievement and welfare.
- Support pupils in accessing lessons and transitioning back to full-time main school lessons.
- Work with the attendance team to raise pupil attendance.
- Analyse behaviour data and embed pastoral support.
- Plan and deliver mentor time activities and assemblies.
Requirements
- Experience in supporting pupils in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and pupils.
