Locum Consultant Physician/Geriatrician in Older People Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatrician to join our team as a Locum Consultant Physician in Older People Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and welcoming consultant team, providing high-quality care to patients in our 52-bedded acute geriatrics ward.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a proportion of patients independently, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Play an active role in the discharge planning process, ensuring seamless transitions for patients.
- Participate in outpatient work, liaison work, and front-door frailty pathways, depending on interest and expertise.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of services in geriatric medicine, working collaboratively with colleagues to improve patient outcomes.
- MRCP or equivalent specialist qualification.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the advisory appointments committee.
- Relevant CCT in Geriatric Medicine and General Internal Medicine or equivalent.
- Higher Research Degree.
- Higher teaching degree.
- Prior experience of developing, delivering, and leading education and training within a department.
- Ability to develop research projects and supervise trainees in their research.
