We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Professional to join our team at Ridge & Partners LLP. As a Built Environment Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and managing project management teams, managing clients, and developing further opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a project management capacity within a built environment consultancy, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with leading and managing the project management team
  • Managing clients and developing further opportunities
  • Participating in business development forums such as sector groups
  • Linking into the project management discipline across all offices
  • Growing the group with new and repeat clients
  • Establishing detailed client briefs and responsibilities of consultants and specialists
  • Establishing lines of communication and reporting procedures with the client and within the design team
  • Arranging feasibility studies, including site surveys, site investigation, and site evaluation
  • Advising on and implementing the selection and appointment of all necessary consultants and specialists
  • Coordinating and obtaining planning consents and all necessary statutory approvals
  • Preparing and maintaining the master programme for all pre and post-contract activities and monitoring progress
  • Managing finances from inception to completion, including cash flow forecasts, monitoring project expenditure, and recommending payments by client, as well as internal budget and resourcing
  • Managing the Design Team, including leading on risk and value management
  • Interviewing and selecting contractors for tendering or negotiation, evaluating tenders received, and appointing contractor
  • Inspecting and monitoring the construction works with regard to quality and conformity to agreed specifications and drawings
  • Overseeing the administration of the Building contract, including the preparation of all necessary instructions and certificates
  • Chairing progress, coordination, and project meetings throughout the contract period
  • Preparing regular reports to clients on all aspects of the project inspection, scheduling, and acceptance of works required under the defects liability and maintenance provisions of the contract
  • Day-to-day responsibility for projects/workstreams
  • Providing a single point of contact taking responsibility for all aspects of the project or workstreams and liaising with your client

Experience and Skills Required

You must be able to evidence experience of working in a project manager capacity within a built environment consultancy.
