Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Support Specialist to work with pupils in a resource base provision within a Primary School in South Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with special needs, challenging behaviour, and personal care assistance.

The school is an OFSTED rated Good mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. They are looking for enthusiastic and nurturing support staff who can develop good relationships with children with additional needs.

This is a Full-Time role starting soon and will continue for the rest of the academic year. Previous experience working in a SEN school setting or provision is essential.

Requirements
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a UK school - in either permanent or long-term roles
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
