About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Household Care Specialist to join our team at KYN. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the laundry room, ensuring all uniforms and laundry supplies are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with instructions issued by the Head Housekeeper regarding the use of laundry equipment, materials, and chemicals.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all laundry-related queries.
  • Undertake all laundry duties to the highest possible standard.
  • Ensure resident satisfaction and report any complaints to the Head Housekeeper immediately.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing environment where residents and their family members feel loved, happy, safe, and secure.
  • Collect and sort soiled and fouled linen into correct categories.
  • Operate all laundry equipment safely.
  • Ensure all resident items are laundered, checking labels for correct washing and ironing instructions.
  • Ensure all personal clothing items are clearly marked with the resident's name, and if not, re-mark before returning to the resident's room.
  • Sort and return laundered items to residents' rooms or appropriate linen cupboards.
  • Ensure the laundry equipment and laundry area are clean.
  • Replenish auto dosing detergents and additives.
  • Contribute to the induction and training of new team members.
