Ambient Support is a registered UK charity with over 25 years of experience providing care and support services for older people, individuals with mental health needs, and those with learning disabilities. Our service in Bromley is dedicated to empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives.
Care Support Worker - Respite ServiceWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Worker to join our team supporting 10 residents in our respite service. These individuals have complex learning disabilities and require personalized care and support.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide social and emotional support, both within the home and in the community.
- Assist with personal care needs, including hygiene, as required.
- Support residents with shopping and budgeting.
- Foster relationships with friends and family of our service users.
- Contribute to household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- Accompany residents on outings for walks, meals, and other activities they enjoy.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, including autism, is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
- A calm, caring demeanor with a positive outlook is crucial.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer literacy.
- While a driver's license is desirable, it is not mandatory.
- Flexible working arrangements to promote work-life balance.
