About the Role:

The SEN Support Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) at Oakfield House School. This position involves working closely with the SENCO and Assistant Head to provide administrative support, coordinate provision, and directly assist individual students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the SENCO to ensure outstanding outcomes for SEND students across all curriculum areas
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to raise the achievement of SEND students
  • Promote creativity and innovation when searching for new strategies to support SEND students
  • Maintain high-quality school documentation on the Learning Support needs of all students
  • Attend SEND meetings with outside agencies and ensure personalized, robust documents with SMART targets for individual students

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and grade C or above in English or equivalent

Oakfield House School is an outstanding Primary School catering to autistic pupils and those associated with Autism/Learning or Complex Communication and Behaviour needs. Our school boasts a strong leadership team and a country house built in the 1880s, set amidst eight acres of beautiful parkland.

We cater to 45 boys and girls aged between 4-12 years old and have been judged Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. Located near Preston, our site is within commuting distance from surrounding areas.
