Job Title: Deal Completion Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Deal Completion Specialist to join our team at the Development Bank of Wales in Cardiff.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of deals, ensuring efficient and professional delivery.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position that requires strong organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the investment and deal completion process, including legal and drawdown documentation, pre-drawdown credit checks, and compilation and checking of investment files prior to drawdown.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, minutes, and agendas in support of monthly team meetings and investment peer reviews.
  • Ensure continuous dialogue with applicants and within the department regarding progress and activity.
  • Manage deal completion documentation and data capture systems, including CRM, SharePoint, and planning systems.
  • Take responsibility for financial processing, including purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Co-ordinate attendance at relevant meetings, seminars, and events.
  • Develop understanding and experience in all aspects of the investment process over time.

  • Able to prioritise and organise work under pressure.
  • Determination to complete tasks to a high standard and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Committed to developing knowledge and expertise.
  • GCSE or equivalent education level.
  • Proficient in IT/PC applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Welsh language proficiency desired.
  • Familiarity with business and property sectors in Wales.

Estimated Salary Range: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
