Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst - Modelling

Locations: Flexible

Role Overview

Vermelo RPO is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst - Modelling to join our growing team. As a key member of our pricing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

You will utilise your technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and market-leading tools to produce creative and actionable pricing solutions. This will involve working closely with our pricing managers and executive committee to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership on WTW toolkit (Emblem and Radar) to drive forward effective and efficient solutions.
  2. Develop and implement pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  3. Lead and manage the development of effective and efficient solutions that deliver business requirements and add demonstrable value.
  4. Ensure that all team members follow quality assurance processes and manage risk adhering to all relevant policies.
  5. Research, develop and champion the use of best practice methods and standards.
  6. Plan, design and lead the development of our pricing capability.
  7. Through ongoing research, maintain an extensive knowledge of statistical techniques to ensure we have a market-leading approach to analysis and modelling.
  8. Assist pricing managers in making tactical and strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience within general insurance pricing.
  2. Experience with predictive modelling techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets and Clustering.
  3. Experience in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g. R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL).
  4. A good quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science).
  5. Proficient at communicating results in a concise manner both verbally and written.
