Leading Specialist in Orthodontic Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Orthodontics to join our esteemed team at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time position that offers 6 Professional Allowances (PAs) with set working days of Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive secondary care services in all aspects of orthodontics, including the management of hypodontia and patients requiring orthognathic surgery in conjunction with our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage risks and issues across organizations and settings.
- Assess own learning needs and ensure a personal development plan reflects both clinical practice and personal objectives.
- Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) with a license to practice at time of appointment.
- Entry on the Specialist List for Orthodontics.
- BDS or equivalent degree in undergraduate dentistry.
- MFDS and M.Sc in Orthodontics.
- At least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) recognized taught Orthodontic Postgraduate course.
- Practical clinical experience in orthodontics.
- Management experience.
- Educational/Clinical supervisor experience.
