About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Planner to join our team in Bescot, Walsall. As an Area Planner, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting on multi-discipline localised area programmes in line with client service level agreements and internal commercial requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and promotion of road works
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procedures, job packs, and programme of work
  • Coordinate and deliver cyclical and reactive maintenance within the Area 9 strategic network
  • Line manage planning staff for respective areas and disciplines
  • Liaise with National Highways Roadspace booking team to maximise network utilisation
  • Monitor and maintain programmes to ensure achievability and identify areas for corrective action
  • Prepare periodic reports, statistics, and answers to enquiries concerning programmes
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in highways maintenance, with a minimum of 4 years in planning. Key knowledge of traffic management requirements, National Highways roadspace booking, and optimising working windows is essential.
