Job Summary

As a Senior Programme Officer at Barclays, you will play a critical role in managing Execution Risk effectively, delivering on our Group strategy, and satisfying all stakeholders. You will be part of a Programme Management Office (PMO) team that ensures initiative delivery is managed in line with relevant Policies and Standards, using standard processes and tooling to improve the level and likelihood of successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage programmes and projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing clear updates and strategic insights.
  • Create and implement standardised PMO processes and methodologies that support the delivery of successful projects.
  • Monitor project performance, including tracking of project progress, identification of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Support project documentation, including maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Facilitate project governance, ensuring that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Provide change management framework training to project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve project management practices, including identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes to improve project delivery.

  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
