Special Education Needs Coordinator

At Lancashire County Council, we are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Special Education Needs Coordinator. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of the complexities involved in supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional who shares our passion for ensuring that every child has access to high-quality education and support. As a Special Education Needs Coordinator, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve this goal.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each child;
- Providing expert advice and guidance on special educational needs legislation and government guidelines;
- Supporting the review process for children, young people, and families to ensure timely completion within statutory timescales;
- Collaborating with other teams within the Inclusion Service and external services to ensure assessment processes are comprehensive, coherent, and transparent;
