Position Overview:
Job Title: Behaviour Management Teaching Assistant

Location: Wigan

Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm

Pay: £87-£100p/d

Start Date: ASAP

The Role:
As a Behaviour Management Teaching Assistant, you'll be instrumental in creating a positive and structured classroom environment that supports students in managing their behaviour effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with classroom teachers and the Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to

develop and implement behaviour management strategies and plans.
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to students who may have challenges with behaviour.
- Monitoring and tracking student behaviour and progress to assess the effectiveness of interventions.
- Implementing positive behaviour reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
- Assisting students in developing social and emotional skills to improve their behaviour and self
- regulation.
- Working closely with external specialists, parents, and the school's support team to create a

comprehensive behaviour support system.

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and have the following qualities:

- Prior experience in behaviour management or similar roles, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and

parents.
- A patient, empathetic, and compassionate demeanour.
- A deep understanding of behaviour management techniques, including positive behaviour support

strategies.
- The ability to adapt and respond to the unique needs of each student.
