An 'Outstanding' Secondary School in the Borough of Greenwich is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT - History, RE & Geography for a full-time and permanent position starting in January 2025.

The current Humanities Head of Department has helped the department grow from strength to strength, with a perfect mix of young, experienced and Teach First Teachers, alongside multiple Humanities graduate Teaching Assistants who help raise attainment across all key stages.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Humanities Teacher who can work effectively as part of a large team of subject specialists. As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching History, RE & Geography to students at KS3, 4 & 5. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum and participate in various professional development activities.

The successful candidate will have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining it. Strong academics across the board, including a degree, A Levels and GCSEs, are essential. You must also be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level and be willing to listen to feedback and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £38,766 to £60,092, depending on experience, plus TLR (size depending on experience). Newly Qualified Humanities Teachers will be enrolled onto the school's bespoke ECT induction program, providing them with valuable support and development opportunities.
