Strategic Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Operations Manager to join our team at Monarch Water. As an integral part of our Executive Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and growth across our organization.
Job DescriptionOverview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the essential operational elements within our organization, ensuring we meet our EBITDA budgets and drive M&A growth initiatives. This includes transforming our company's vision into practical strategies and tangible outcomes, leading efforts to enhance performance, boost revenue, meet agreed targets, and foster both organic and inorganic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be an active member of the Monarch Water Executive Leadership Team, supporting strategic planning and operational performance, direction, compliance, and management of the business.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including commercial & finance and sales teams, working closely with colleagues across the wider business.
- Bring a broad range of commercial and operational knowledge and skills to the leadership team, sharing ideas, best practices, and solutions across all functions.
- In conjunction with leadership and MD, review and refine the right-sized model for the business, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business requirements.
- Contribute to the development of the rolling 3-year strategic plan, delivering growth and exceptional financial performance while strengthening talent across areas of responsibility, accounting for new M&A integration.
- Work in partnership to deliver targeted NPS and other key metrics for the business.
- Partner with the leadership team and IT to ensure reporting and MI are fit for purpose, optimized, and leveraged.
Environment, Health, and Safety:
- Take lead responsibility for deploying policies, procedures, and attitudes, ensuring compliance with legislative and local EHS requirements.
- Utilize Safety Culture (IT software) to optimize employee and stakeholder engagement for the benefit of both employees and the business.
- Collaborate with external business colleagues to drive and contribute to wider group EHS objectives and targets.
- Ensure consistency in policies and their application across sites and functions, considering M&A integration.
- Develop and deploy appropriate metrics and KPIs to track business performance in EHS, recording and reporting this openly to drive improvement and recognize performance needs.
Production, Warehousing, and Distribution:
- Develop executable and convertible strategies to reduce cost, inefficiency, and waste while improving customer and internal stakeholder experience.
- E nsure harmonization and full integration of PPD functions with production outputs and customer demand.
- Drive the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP) process, ensuring the right supply is in place for new sales and customer acquisition, in collaboration with the Commercial & Finance Director and Sales Director.
- Develop and deploy appropriate metrics and KPIs to track business performance, record, and report this openly to drive improvement and performance generally.
- Identify, drive, and be accountable for implementing projects for growth opportunities in the UK.
Field Service and Site Operations:
- Oversee and be responsible for all aspects of operations in field and locally.
- Through the Service Manager, leverage operational efficiencies to drive greater density and effective revenue generation in field service operations while driving service retention and reduced churn.
- Drive site-wide efficiencies and optimization of local and wider operational footprints, being considerate of long-range plans and objectives.
- Ensure compliance and overall effectiveness of local and external sub-contract fleet of vehicles and equipment.
- Provide operational and financial insight on performance to drive operational needs, budget management, and strategic plans of the business, including CAPEX investment.
- Work with commercial & finance teams to optimize and maximize potential of financial systems, introducing dashboard reporting and KPIs as appropriate.
Technical and Regulatory:
- Ensure technical and regulatory compliance is delivered and adhered to in current and ongoing product offers, as a key stakeholder in NPD.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for technical compliance and performance of third-party supplied and own specification products/services.
- Ensure warranty management and compliance is effective, communicating any potential areas of concern or impact to the business, brand, or market position to the MD.
- Deliver technical support and training across the business and to our Accredited Installer Network.
- Provide front-line customer and consumer technical/product support through training of the customer experience team.
