We are seeking a seasoned Deputy Care Home Manager to join our team at a beautiful care home in Diss. With a competitive salary of £35,000 and a 40-hour workweek, this role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development.

About the Role

As our Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing operations within the home to achieve exceptional results while ensuring high-quality care. You will oversee the care staff, assuming full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager.

You will be responsible for training and supervising care staff in all aspects of their work through direct instruction and setting a good example. Additionally, you will assist the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents, ensure that each resident's care plan and daily records are up-to-date, and foster effective communication with residents' families and other organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager
  • The ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care services
  • A good working knowledge of CQC standards
  • The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and staffing teams
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care programs within the home
