We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neonatal Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to babies requiring all levels of care and their families.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have significant experience at Band 6 level in a neonatal unit and will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to professional development. You will work closely with the Doctors, Community Nurses, and allied health professionals within the existing team to provide comprehensive care and support to our patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to babies requiring all levels of care and their families.
  • Work closely with the Doctors, Community Nurses, and allied health professionals within the existing team.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Contribute to the training and management of the Neonatal team.
  • Communicate effectively with the neonate's family/carers, the multidisciplinary team, and other departments within the Trust.
Requirements:
  • 1st Level Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
  • Neonatal Intensive Care and High Dependency Course or equivalent.
  • Neonatal Advanced Life Support course.
  • Post-registration qualification in mentoring and supporting students.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Evidence of change management skills.
