Job Title: General Cover Teacher

Are you a motivated and adaptable teacher looking for a flexible working opportunity in secondary education? We are seeking enthusiastic General Cover Teachers to work across secondary schools in Rawtenstall, providing high-quality classroom support on a day-to-day or short-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity in students' learning in the absence of their regular teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments, maintaining professionalism and building rapport with both staff and students.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, ensuring the smooth running of each lesson.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, ensuring they stay on task and engage with their work.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • A flexible and positive approach to working in different schools and settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive and reliable attitude, with a passion for supporting students' education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
