We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust as a Highly Specialist Pharmacist, Haemoglobinopathies Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to patients with haemoglobinopathies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective pathways for the provision of therapies and therapy monitoring in hospital and community settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to shape the delivery and access of services supporting patients with haemoglobinopathies.
- Support the development of clinical guidelines and protocols for the management of haemoglobinopathies.
- Participate in education and training of pharmacy staff and contribute to the provision and development of clinical pharmacy services within the trust.

Requirements- Post-registration training and experience in an acute hospital NHS setting.
- Experience of working with patients with haemoglobinopathies and managing their care.

- Knowledge of the pharmacology of disease-modifying agents and iron chelation agents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
