About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Call Handler for the NHS 111 Wales Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for answering calls from the public, providing high-quality patient care, and working collaboratively with our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering calls from the public and providing empathetic and respectful support
  • Working as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Using critical thinking skills to make informed decisions and respond to complex situations
  • Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
  • Entering patient information accurately and efficiently onto our computer system

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent
  • Experience of dealing with the public on the phone and working as part of a team
  • Good telephony skills and ability to communicate confidently with the general public
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings
