Clinical Trauma Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Trauma Specialist to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessments and interventions to children and young people who have experienced significant trauma.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex trauma and moderate to severe mental health needs.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people and their families.
- Contribute to the development of service policies and procedures, and participate in research and training initiatives.
- Work closely with other Specialist Trauma Therapists and In-reach Clinical Specialists to achieve timely access to appropriate consultation and intervention for this group of children and young people.
- Registered RMN, OT, Social Worker or Psychological Therapist.
- Advanced clinical skills/therapeutic skills in trauma, acute mental health presentations and risk management.
- Specialist training and experience of delivering an evidence-based or evidence-informed trauma intervention.
- Continuing registration with the body overseeing practice of core mental health profession.
