About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our warm and dedicated team at Danecourt School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for primary-aged children with complex needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tailored support for individual or small groups of students.
  • Providing personal care as needed to ensure students' well-being.
  • Collaborating with our teaching staff to implement creative and effective learning strategies.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are:

  • Ideally qualified with an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Childcare or SEND practice.
  • Experienced in working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly autism (ASD).
  • Proficient in numeracy and literacy skills, with qualifications equivalent to GCSE Grade A-C.
  • Flexible, patient, and proactive, willing to take initiative and work as part of a supportive team.
  • Passionate about inclusive education, and committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
  • Comfortable providing personal care when required.
