About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing multiple packages of work, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure that projects are delivered within budget.
  • Ensure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other team members to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Ensure that all site teams and subcontractors are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including any issues or concerns that may impact project delivery.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire site teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, including health and safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
